Confidence Levels
| Level | Threshold | Description |
| high | ≥500 observations | Reliable long-term data |
| medium | 100–499 observations | Sufficient data for scoring |
| low | <100 observations | Limited data, scores may change |
Data Sources
Scores are computed from multiple sources: Direct probes (WebSocket connectivity, latency measurement, NIP-11 metadata), NIP-66 monitors (uptime, RTT metrics from trusted monitoring services), and NIP-11 relay info (limitations, supported NIPs, operator identity). Data is weighted: 30% direct probes + 70% NIP-66 data when both are available.
Operator Verification
Operator identity is verified through multiple methods: DNS TXT records, .well-known/nostr.json, and NIP-11 pubkey. When multiple sources agree on the same pubkey, confidence increases (up to 95% with all three). Operator trust also factors in Web of Trust scores via NIP-85 assertions.
